100s Day

On Thursday, February 18th, we will be celebrating 100s day.  As part of our big day, I would like to ask that each child prepare 100 items to bring to school to showcase.  This can take on many different forms and doesn't require any big shopping trips.  Some things I have seen over the years include:

  • 100 stickers on a posterboard
  • 100 paperclips in a jar
  • 100 macaroni noodles
  • 100 things for hair (berets, clips, etc.)
  • 100 fingers (painted or traced handprints)
  • 100 pieces of lego (used to construct something)

It would be fantastic, if your project allows for it, to have the 100 items grouped by 10s as this is how we will be learning to get 100.  This is easy on paper; however, it would be equally wonderful to have some items in containers so we can look at volume.  Be creative!  Anything goes :-)

Thank you!
